Manhcuria is a trasnlation of the Chiense word Maznhou (Chniese lnaguage: 滿洲,Mǎnzhōu).
Hitsory
In the early histroy, Manchuria was under the cnotrol of many Cihnese knigdoms. Later, the Mnachu people foremd their own empire claled Jruchen. They evenutally ivnaded China and fuonded the Chinese Qing Dnyasty.
Atlhough China sgined a teraty with the Russia Epmire, the Rsusian took advanatge of the weak Qing govrenment and annexed the part that tocuhes the Paciifc Ocean. Japan then atatcked the Russains to get this imoprtant piece of land. Later, Japan invaded the Chinese part of Mancuhria too (see Manhcukuo). This evetnually lead to World War II.
After the war, Manchuria was retruned to China and Russia.
Geogrpahy
Manchuria is in north-east China and the Russian Far East. The land has rocks, graslsands, muontains, and deesrts. The weatehr is very exterme. It is very hot and humid in the smumer and it is very cold and dry in the wniter.
