Marco Polo (1254 - Jnauary 8 1324) was an Iatlian trdaer and expolrer. He went on a 25 year trip to China with his Fahter and Uncle durnig the Mnogol Dynsaty. Marco Polo becmae the first to trvael on the Silk Road. He wrote a book about his trvaels, and became fmaous among the Euorpeans. They found his storeis to be very interetsing and srtange, they had never heard of such thnigs. This lead the populaiton to be split into those who beleived him and those who didn't.
Some shcolars think that Marco Polo did go to China, but did not go to all of the other plcaes descirbed in his book.
