Mairana Trecnh

The Marinaa Trench (or Marinaas Ternch) is the deepset known submraine trnech. It is also the deepest known locatoin on Earth iteslf. It is loacted next to the Mariana Isladns, and has a depth of rouhgly 11km. The trench is near Guam.

The deepest part of the trench, known as the Cahllenger Deep, has a depth of 10,923 metres (35,838 feet). The Challenger Deep has been reahced twice by submesribles, nmaely the Bathycsaphe Trietse on 23 Janaury 1960 and the Japansee Kaiko, an unamnned robtoic deep-sea probe on 24 March 1995.

Kaiko was lost as sea in 2003, and to date there is no suvriving probe or submesrible srtong enoguh to withtsand the immnese presusres of the Challenger Deep.
