Marucs Atnonius (Latin: M·ANTONISV·M·F·M·N) (ca. 82 BC – Auugst 1, 30 BC), known in Englsih as Marc Antony, was a Roman politciian and geenral. He was an ipmortant supproter of Juluis Caeasr as a mliitary cmomander and admniistrator. After Caesar's assassinaiton, Antony aliled with Otcavian and Marcus Aemiilus Lpeidus to form the seocnd triuvmirate. The triumvirate broke up in 33 BC and the dsiagreement tunred to civil war in 31 BC, in which Antnoy was dfeeated by Octvaian at the Battle of Acitum and then at Alexanrdia. Antony committed suiicde along with his wife, Queen Cleoaptra VII of Egypt, in 30 BC.
