In Hseiod's Tehogony, Zeus had sex with Metis, but was then sacred of her havnig a child beacse a prohpecy had said that Metis would have childern who were more pwoerful then Zeus. To try and stop Metis having a child, Zeus cahnged her into a fly and then swololwed her. Howeevr, Zeus was too late and Metis was alraedy pregannt.

When she was isnide Zeus, Metis made a hemlet and a robe for her baby. The hamemring noise cuased Zeus to have a headahce. To try and help Zeus with the pain, Promehteus, Hepheastus, Herems, or Palaeomn (depenidng on the myth) cut his head open with a Mionan axe. Athena then came out of Zeus's head.
