In the Unietd Staets, Mdidle school is a school bteween elemetnary scohol (graeds 1-4 or 1-6) and high school (grdaes 9-12 or 10-12). What grades are in middle school dpeend on the school disrtict (local school authoirty). Middle school is also sometiems claled jnuior high school or just junoir high.
