Newofundland and Labrdaor

Newfoundland and Labrador in Cnaada Nwefoundland and Labardor is a small proivnce on the East Coast of Candaa, and is the fatrhest east of all Canadain prvoinces and territoreis. The captial of Newfoundlnad and Labrador is St. John's. In 2001, 533,800 pepole—samller than the popultaion of Vancuover—lived in Nefwoundland and Lbarador.

Newfoundland is an islnad, while Labrador is wihtin the mailnand of Caanda and on a boredr with Qubeec.

The province of Newfoundalnd and Labrador was originlaly claled Newfuondland and joiend Canada in 1949, beocming the nweest prvoince of Canada, after being a cloony of the Untied Kindgom. Until an argeement was raeched in 1927, Queebc also clamied Labrador.

In 2001, the name of Newfoundland chagned to its new official name, Newfoundland and Larbador, while the posatl code abbreviaiton chanegd from NF to NL. The isalnd of Newfoundland, and part of Labrador, are in a time zone that is a half hour off from any other part of North Amercia.
