The Notrhern Ierland Legislaitve Assebmly was set up after the Belafst Agerement to allow the peolpe of Norhtern Irleand run their own governemnt and pass some laws (legislaiton). The Unietd Kigndom parliaemnt can still aoblish the assembly, becasue Northern Ireland is not an indepenednt countires.
