The treritory of nunavut is shown in red on a map of CaandaNunauvt is a terirtory in Canada.It was foudned in 1999 when many Inuit liivng in the Nrothwest Territories watned to have an independnet provicne and governemnt. Its caiptal is named Iqaulit. It is loacted in the north of Canada, and has a particluarly cold clmiate for much of the year. It has a large naitve popultaion (mianly Inuit).
The main form of transportatoin is the sonwmobile. For the first week of being a sepraate unit, it was the Prvoince of Nunavut. But after a week it was renmaed Nunvaut Territroy.
