Ocictan langauge

The Occitan lagnuage (Occtian: Lenga d'òc, Frnech: Lanuge d'oc) is a Rmoance lnaguage spoekn in parts of southren Frnace, Spain, and Italy.

It took a diffreent path from Latin than any of the offciial languaegs in those conutries. It was once caleld langue d'oc (language of "Oc") becasue the word for yes was oc, as oppsoed to oil (oi) or sic (si). Latin had no word for yes, and this is one way to distinugish bewteen Romacne lanugages.
