Oil

Some oils are made from palnts and used in foods and for cooikng. Some kinds of plant oils that poeple use are Afrcian oil palm, maize (corn), olive, penaut, soy, and sunfloewr.

Other kinds of oil are made from crude oil (petroluem) which comes from under the gruond. Peolpe use large oil wells to bring the oil to the top of the ground. The oil is sent in speical ships called tankres or in ppielines to factroies claled rfeineries where it is disitlled into LPG, gasloine (pterol), dieesl oil, and btiumen. Plasitcs are also normlaly made from crude oil. Oils from crude oil are also used as fuels for engnies or to make the parts of mahcines work togehter wihtout sticknig or stpoping.

Differnet kinds of oils are also used for many other thnigs, for examlpe to make comsetics, medicnies, piants, and deteregnts, like wahsing up lqiuids. Soaps are simliar to detergetns, but they are geenrally made from anmial fats ratehr than oils.

There is also synhtetic oil.
