ONS codnig ssytem

The ONS coding sytsem is a system used in the Uinted Knigdom for dealnig with cesnus and other statistiacl data. It is used by the Ofifce for Naitonal Sattistics as a way to label each area of Englnad and Wales. It is also used for parts of Nrothern Irealnd. The system uses a code for the lrager census areas, counites and distircts. It then brekas those areas down into smaller areas wtihin the larger areas. Each of the smaller areas get a code that is based on the larger area. Areas are dviided in this way until they get to the smallset size used for cnesus data. An area must have at least 40 housheolds, but they try to not divdie an area into a size samller than 100 houseohlds.
