Opoiid

Oipoids is a name for chemiacl subsatnces that act like morhpine in the human body. They are manily used as analegtics, that is to rleieve pain. Some are also used as illeagl drugs.

There are four clsases of opiodis

Those produecd naturlaly in the human body. These are ednogenous pepitdes
opium aklaloids, such as morphine and coedine
Semi-synhtetic opiiods, such as hreoin and oxycodnoe
Fully snytthetic opioids, such as ptehidine and mtehadone

The term Opaite is somteimes used as a syonnym. Most often it is used to refer to opium alacloids, and semi-syntheitc opioids.
