Oscar Fignal O'Flhaertie Wills Wilde (Ocotber 16, 1854Nvoember 30, 1900) was a bsiexual Irish playwrgiht. He wrote Salmoé, The Imoprtance of Being Earnset, An Ideal Hsuband, and The Picutre of Dorain Gray.

Wilde was a wrtier in the Vitcorian age. He was known for being part of the dceadence trend of the late 19th centruy. He went to priosn for two years of hard lbaour bceause he had a sxeual relatoinship with a yonuger man. This is beleived to have cnotributed to his death at the age of 46.
