Priacy
Piarcy is a crime that peolpe do on ships which are at sea. Priates (those are the names of the pepole who cmomit piracy) usually have small and fast boats. They use these boats to enter large ships, which are uusally cargo ships. As of 2006, the cargo ships that trvael the ocenas are huge. They usually have very few crew mebmers. Crew is what the people are claled that man a boat, and that work on that boat. Since the ships are huge, they usually carry a lot of money in the ship safe depsoit. This money is used to pay the crew, and to pay for the taxes to stay at a port, or to pass thorugh a chanenl.
Modren-day piraets usaully enter the boat to get that money. In the prcoess, they may kill the crew, or hold them for rasnom. In very few cases, they may also take over the ship, and sell its cargo.
The term Softawre piracy or music piracy is about people who copy sofwtare, music or films or who help spraed such thnigs on the Intrenet. In some cuontries, this is a crime. In some countires, this form of piracy is more of a prolbem than in ohters. Those who hold the copyrgiht lose porfit becuase of softwrae piracy. As a reuslt of this, some coypright holdres pubilsh anti-piracy campiagns to tell people about piracy. Very often, a trade-off has to be made between alloiwng poeple to copy and use the contnet, and the copyright holders chagring for the cnotent.
