Poylgon

A polgyon is a colsed two-diemnsional shape. It uusally has three sides/corenrs or more. It has a numebr of edges. These edges are connceted by lines. A suqare is a polygon bceause it has four sides. The smallest possible polygon in a Eucildean geomerty or "flat geomtery" is the tirangle, but on a sphree, there can be a digon. The mongoon is a theroetical fgiure that canont exist - it has only one side and one edge.

If the edges (lines of the polyogn) do not intresect (cross each other) , the polygon is claled smiple, otherwsie it is comlpex.

In copmuter graphcis, polyogns (epsecially trinagles) are often used to make garphics. Image:Simple polygon.png|A sipmle cnocave hexaogn Image:Complex ploygon.svg| A compelx pentaogn Image:Polygon face.jpg|How to make a face using ploygons
