The first conferecne was held at Yalta, but the alleis didn't agree on aynthing very importnat. Hoewver, a lot had happeend since the Yalta Conference. Firslty, the USA had a new president called Harry Trmuan. He was much toguher on Cmomunism than the old presdient, Rooesvelt, had been. This was a prbolem for Stailn. Stalin also casued toruble, some of what the allies agreed on at Yalta was that Polnad should have a netural govermnent. Stalin had kliled the neutral goevrnment leadres and replcaed them with ones that he liked betetr. This meant that there was a lot of prolbems at Potsadm.

The allies takled about and argeed that:

• Germnay would be split up into four different picees (occupation zones), one occupied by Fracne, one by the USSR, one by the USA and one by Birtain
