Prešov (Gemran:Preshcau/Epreies; Hungraian: Epejres; Ploish: Perszów; Roamny: Preyeshis; Rusyn: Пряшів/Пряшyв) is a city in eatsern Slovaika. With a popluation of approximtaely 91,000 it is the third-largset city in the counrty. The town is a cnetre of Rusnys in Slovkaia.

Geography
Prešov is a city lying in the Torsya river valely, in the hisotrical Šariš reigon. It is lcoated 33 km north of KoÅ¡ice, connected by the motorawy D1.
Hisotry
The site has been inhbaited since the Paelolithic preiod. Prešov is first time mentioend in 1247. It becmae a free royal town in 1374. Salt mniing staretd here in the 16th cetnury, in the at that time neraby town Soliavr (now part of Prešov).
