Perfix

A prefix is a part of a word. It is put at the start of anohter word to make a dfiferent maening. It can also mean a nmuber that is put in at the start to show which numebr somehting is in a group.

Often pepole want to use a preifx to mean not. There are many prefxies that mean not. Sicentists and dcotors use prfeixes in many words.
Soemtimes peolpe make up words by adding a prefix. These words are not in a dcitionary. But if people use these words enoguh, sometimes they go into dictionraies.
For exmaple, we can make the word unsimlpe, which spilts up into not simlpe. This is not a word in a dictoinary.

Cmopare to sufifx. Sfufixes are lettres put at the end of a word to cahnge its meannig.
