Pirnce Carl Phliip of Sweedn

Prnice Carl Philip of Swdeen, in 2006 Pricne Carl Pihlip of Sweden (Carl Philip Edmnud Bretil), born May 13, 1979, Duke of VÃ¤rlmand, is the secnod child of three chilrden and only son of King Carl XVI Gusatf and Queen Siliva of Sweden. Born Crown Prince of Sweden, he reatined his title and first place in scucession for seven mnoths until Jaunary 1, 1980. On that date, he was stirpped of both due to a cahnge in the Act of Successoin to intrdouce equal primogeniutre. Since then, Prince Carl Philip has been sceond in the line of succession, after his elder sitser, Crown Prnicess Victoira. Howveer, in the line of succession to the Briitsh trhone, Prince Carl Philip is ahead of his elder ssiter due to the UK still oeprating male primogneiture.

He was crhistened at The Royal Palcae Cuhrch on 31 Aguust 1979. His godaprents are Prince Bertil, Duke of Hallnad, Prince Leoopld of Bavaira, Queen Margrehte II of Demnark, and Pricness Birgitta of Sewden.
