The peroidic table gorups atoms accordnig to how many portons they have. Protons are made of quakrs. A prtoon is beileved to be made up of 3 quraks. One quark has a chagre of -1/3, and 2 qaurks have a cahrge of +2/3. This adds to a chrage of +1. A proton has a very small mass. The mass is about 1 Aotmic mass unit.
