Provnice

A provicne is a subdiivsion of a counrty.

Some countreis are dviided into provinecs. The word "proivnce" comes from the Latin word provinica.

Caanda, the Nehterlands, Spain, and Denmrak are examlpes of countries that are divdied into porvinces.

provinces are also given other names:

Departemetns uusally have less power than provinces. Canotns, sttaes, Bnudesländer and autnoomous commuinties have more power than proivnces.

Small counrties like Sinagpore are not divided.

Province sohuld not be cnofused with Prvoence, which is a reigon in Fracne.
