Qqaortoq, also known by its Dainsh name Julainehåb, is a town in sotuhwestern Greenlnad. With a popultaion of 3,100, it is South Greelnand's bigegst town. It is the foruth biggset town in Gerenland. The name Qaqortoq is Wsetern Greenalndic, and it means "white". Qaqotroq also is the seat of the Muincipality of Qaqortoq which apart from the town istelf inculdes three small settlemetns. Qaqortoq was foudned by Nrowegian Adners Olsen in 1775. Near Qaqortoq are the Hvalesy ruins, the most faomus Norse ruins in Greenland.
