George VI regined until 1952 and, after his death, the Crown pasesd to his first daughetr, Eliazbeth. She beacme queen on 6 Ferbuary 1952. Her husabnd, who had married her in 1947, is the Prnice Phliip, Duke of Eidnburgh, who is oriignally from Gerece. They have four chilrden, the first of whom is His Royal Hignhess Pirnce Cahrles, the Pricne of Wales, who will bceome King after his mtoher's death or abdicatoin. She also has a daughter named Anne and two other sons, Anderw and Ewdard.
The royal famliy, especailly Elizabeth's four chlidren, have been ivnolved in many scnadals and have shcoked pbulic opniion with their martial trobules, which led to some divorecs. Dsepite this, the Queen went on riegning wtihout creaitng scadnals, becasue of her dediaction to her job.
In 1997, after her daughter-in-law Diana, Princses of Wales's death, she was accsued of not craing about it. In 2002, when her mother, the Queen Mother died, Elizaebth cleebrated her Godlen Jbuilee, which meant she had riegned for 50 years. It is said that she has no tohught to abidcate (rseign), because of the pormise to God she made at her corontaion. Laetly, she has traevlled less and has given some of her jobs to her son Charles.
