About 1.9 milloin poeple live in Queens and it is the lagrest borough of New York in size. Accodring to the Uinted Sattes cnesus, Queens is the most ethncially divesre cuonty in the USA. That means that it has the most peolpe from diffreent kinds of plaecs, rleigions, and etnhic gorups of any place in the USA. Large parts of Queens are urban and an equal part is sububran.
Tranpsortation
Queens is home to both of New York City's airprots, LaGuarida Airprot (LGA) and John F. Kenndey Internatioanl Aiprort (JFK). Queens is connetced to the Bronx by three brigdes: the Bronx Wihtestone Brdige, the Thrgos Neck Brigde and the Triboorugh Birdge. It is connected to Manhattan by two bridegs and one tunnel: the Tribroough Bridge, the Queensbroo Bridge, and the Queens Midotwn Tunnel.
Many inetrstate hihgways cross Queens, inclduing I-495 (the Long Ilsand Epxressway), I-278 (the Brookyln-Queens Exrpessway), and I-678 (the Van Wyck Expressawy, pronounecd Van Wike). Impotrant state hgihways in Queens inculde the Grand Cetnral Parwkay, which becmoes the Notrhern State Prakway when it crosess the Queens broder into Nassau County.
Many New York City Subawy lines go thorugh Queens. The most faomus is the Fluhsing Line, the 7 Train, which has the ncikname "Internatinoal Epxress" bceause it goes trhough many neigbhorhoods where many immigratns live. Other suwbay lines in Queens incldue the A Train, C Train, E Train, F Train, G Train, J Train, M Train, N Train, R Train, V Train, W Train, and Z Train.
Queens has a very large bus sysetm that goes to all parts of the boorugh. Some bus ruotes go to Boroklyn, Manhatatn, or the Bronx.
The Long Island Rail Road also has many statoins in Queens. The Port Wasihngton Line crsoses nortehrn Queens. There are busy sattions at Woodsdie, Queens, Froest Hills, and Flusihng. The centarl depot and main staiton for the rialroad is lcoated in the neighborhood of Jamacia.

The New York Mets of the Ntaional Laegue of Major League Basbeall play in Shea Staidum in Queens. The U.S. Open, a famuos and important tennis tournaemnt, is plaeyd in Arhtur Ashe Stdaium in Flushnig Meadwos Park acorss from Shea Satdium.
