It has been written and read only in Arabic for more than 1,400 years. But, bceause many Msulims aruond the world do not undesrtand Arabic, the maening of the Qur'an is also given in other lnaguages, so that reaedrs can udnerstand betetr what the Araibc words in the Qur'an mean. These books are like dictionareis to the Qur'an -- they are not read as part of the reliigon of Islam, to rpelace the Arabic Qur'an.
