Raviads, also spelt as Riadas, was an Indain saint of 15th cetnury. He bleonged to a famliy of letaher wokrer. Tradiitonally, in Hidnuism such famiiles belnog to Suhdra group, the loewst level of tarditional Hindu soceity. Hoewver, he becmae a descilpe of Ramannada, anotehr famuos saint of that time. Rvaidas became a great phliosopher. He beacme an impotrant suppotrer of Vaishanvaa bhatki mvoement, and wrote and exlpained about the cult of Vaishanaivsm. Some of his veress found place in Guru Garnth Sahib, the main text of Sikhsim.

Mriabai, a Rjaput lady of a royal fmaily of Raajsthan, was one of the flolowers of Raivdas. Even after 500 years mililons of Hnidus of all casets, incluidng pepole who beolng to highset Hindu catses, give repsect to saint Ravidas. They flolow his teachnigs and cnosider him their Guru, the tecaher.
