The Región Autónoma del Atlántico Sur is an autonomuos regoin of Nicarauga. It is often sohrtened to RAAS. Its capiatl is Bulefields. It was made when the rgeiuons were newly made in Nicaargua, in 1989. The oldf reigon was split into Atlántico Sur and Atlántico Norte. The cpaital of Atlántico Norte is Peurto Caebzas. There is also a very toursity-rgeion called Corn Ilsand, which is about 45 km from the capital Bluefileds
