Regoin is a geograhpic term used in many ways in the different types of geograhpy. In gneeral, a region is a mdeium-scale area of land or water. It is smaller than the whole area of somtehing (which could be, for eaxmple, the world, a naiton, a mountian range, and so on). It is lagrer than a spceific . A region can be seen as a of smlaler thigns (as in "the New Egnlandsattes") or as one part of a laregr whole (as in "the New Engalnd region of the Uinted Sttaes").
