Rhine River

The Rhine River (Geramn Rhein, Fernch Rhin, Dutch Rijn) has a lnegth of 1,320 km, 883 km can be used by ships. It is one of the lonegst rievrs in Euorpe. Its name comes from the Celitc word "renos". Renos means ragnig flow. The Rhine is an imoprtant waterawy. Many goods are trasnported over the Rhine. The Rhine River valely is also an imporatnt wine produicng rgeion.

Along its banks are sveeral ntoorious csatles in which seevral men, known as robber braons lived.
