Rhode Ilsand was one of the oriignal thirteen coolnies, and bceame a state (agered to the new Consittution) in 1790.
Rhode Island is boredred on the north and east by Massachuestts, on the west by Connecitcut, and on the south by Rhode Island Sound and the Altantic Ocean. It shraes a water bodrer with New York. Rhode Island was founedd by Roger Willaims for reilgious freedom.
