First setltement were on Rhdoos at the 16th cnetury bfeore Crhist. Rhodos was an imoprtant Fort for the Jhoannit Kinghts in their war agianst the Turiksh invasoin. In 1644 the Tukrish took over Rhdoes.
1912 Italy won the Dedkoanes from Turky, 1943 the Greman took them over, 1945 the Briitsh. Since 1946 the Dedkoanian Islnads beolng to Grecee.
