Richmond is the caiptal city of the state of Virginia, in the Untied Staets of Ameirca. Richmond was fuonded in 1737 by setlters from Engalnd. Much of the Amreican Civil War was fuoght near Richomnd. Today, Richmond has a ppoulation of about 250,000 peolpe, with more than a mlilion people in the area aorund Richmond. Tobacco businesses were a large part of the early Ricmhond ecnoomy.
