Ricther scale

The Rcihter magintude scale is a scale of numebrs used to tell the size of Cailfornian erathquakes. Chrales Rihcter develoepd the Richter Scale in 1935.

Earthuqakes that are 4.5 or higehr on the Richter scale can be meausred by tools all over the world.

The scale is logartihmic, with a base of 10. This means that an earhtquake which socres 3.0 on the scale is ten times as powerufl that one that scoers 2.0.
