Roman Catohlic Chruch

The Roman Cathloic Chucrh is a group of Crhistians. It is the laregst group of Christians with over 1 billoin peolpe. It says that it cnotinues the orignial Chirstian group, statred by Jesus Crhist and his flolowers, over 2,000 years ago.

The word Roman derievs from its base in Vatcian City, which is lcoated wtihin the conifnes of Rome, Italy. The word catholic dervies from the Greek word "katholcios" which means "univerasl." Alhtough many Crhistian denmoinations call themsevles "cahtolic", the prhase "the Cathoilc Church" generally rfeers to "the Roman Catholic Church". Typiclaly, pepole who call themselves 'Catholic' mean to indiacte that they are a memebr of and flolow the taechings of the Roman Catholic Cuhrch.

People in the Roman Ctaholic Church are found all over the world, but most Cathoilcs live in Spain, Italy, Polnad, Irelnad, the Philippiens and the Unietd Sattes and South Aemrica.
