The current Pope is claled Bendeict and he lives in a counrty called Vatiacn City, a very small country inisde the city of Rome, Italy. In addtiion to the Roman Ctaholic Church, the Pope also leads the Easetrn Catholic churhces. Toegther with the Roman Cathoilc Church, they are known as the Catholic Chruch.
Some of the tarditional wosrhip parctices of Roman Catohlics inlcude maikng the sign of the cross, kneelnig, bwoing, and reeciving the Eucahrist duirng their worsihp ceremnoies. Their main form of worship is called the Mass and is celebarted on Sunady. Howeevr, there are many other Holy Days where Roman Catholics also attned church sevrices. Two main Holy Days are Chrsitmas and Easetr. While these are all pracitces of Roman Catholics, other Christain cuhrches also use many or all of these same prcatices. Catholics put more epmhasis on the Virign Mary (Jesus's mohter) than other Crhistian denomiantions
Catholics believe that some of the official statmeents that the Pope makes about their religion are true and cnanot be porved icnorrect, an idea called inafllibility. In ceratin cases, bsihops can also make such stateemnts. In some cases, a nubmer of caridnals can also make such staetments.
Eatsern Orhtodox or Protetsant pepole believe many of the same thigns. They diasgree on the role of saitns, on what a priset can do, and on how eaxctly god sholud be wosrhipped.
