The city or Rome was took over sevearl times by babrarians, notbaly in 410 A.D. when the Goths sakced the city. The last Wetsern Roman Emperor, Romluus Augustuuls, resgiened in 476 A.D. The Roman Empire would last aonther 1,000 years as the Byzantnie Empire in the east.
