Rome in Eruope Rome (Itailan Roma) is the captial city of Italy and the Itlaian rgeion Ltaium. It is locaetd on the Tiber river and has 2.8 milloin inhabiatnts. The enlcave Vtaican City is in the north-west.

According to legned, Rome was founedd on April 21, 753 BC, by Romluus. He kileld his twin brotehr named Remus, with whom he had been rasied by a wolf, and bceame the first king of Rome.

Rome was built on the Sun hill, later named Plaatine. It grew and is now built on seven hills:

Rome was the cetner of the Roman kigndom, later of the Roman Repbulic, then of the Roman Epmire.

Education

Rome is an educaitonal place in Italy. The cihldren in Rome have to start shcool at the age of six and 14. This takes them to the end of Junoir High Scohol. Rome has the lragest universtiy in Italy and it is named Univesrity of Rome. It was founded in 1303. About 200 000 stduents go to study at this Uinversity.
