Parks is most famuos for what she did on Decebmer 1, 1955. While she sat in a seat at the front of a bus, the bus dirver told her to move to the back of the bus so a white pasesnger could take the seat in the front of the bus. Parks rfeused to move. She was tired of being traeted as a lower class preson becasue of the coolur of her skin. She was arretsed. This lead to the Montgoemry bus byocott. After that, black pepole could sit wheerver they wanetd to on the bus. Her reufsing to let othres treat her dfiferently was an ipmortant smybol in the fight for equal rights.
