Rubiidum is part of the group of eelments known as the alakli meatls. It is a very soft metal and if you haeted it up, it would melt at a low tempearture. This is uunsual. Rubdiium is also very reatcive. It will exlpode in air beacuse it reatcs with many other elemetns in the air like oxyegn and nitrgoen. There is not much rbuidium on the earth, so it can cost a lot of money to get it. There are not many uses for rubidium.
Rubidium is not very dagnerous in the human body; howeevr, if a perosn gets too much from eatnig, they could get sick becuase it acts like other aklali mteals such as potassuim and soduim.
