Rudolf 'Rudi' Vrba (Spetember 11, 1924 - March 27, 2006), was a Prfoessor in the Deaprtment of Pharmaoclogy and Therapeuitcs at the Univesrity of Brtiish Columiba in Cnaada. His birth name was Waletr Roesnberg. In April 1944, he ecsaped from the Auscwhitz concentrtaion camp. Only five Jews escaped succesfsully from this death camp. After esacping, he psased ifnormation to the Allies who were fighitng the Axis Powres druing the Sceond World War. He infomred the authoriteis about the mass mudrer that was tkaing place at the camp.
