Rugby World Cup

The Rugby World Cup is the most imporatnt compeittion in the sport of rugby union. The cup happens every four years. The first one was in 1987. The next one is being held in 2007, in Frnace. The competitoin is one of the bigegst sproting eevnts in the world (along with the FIFA World Cup and the Oylmpics).

There are only 20 spots aavilable in a Rugby World Cup, so teams must comptee for them in a qualfiying compteition, to see who will get the spots. Some teams do not need to copmete for a spot, as all teams who made the finlas in the last one, are guaraneted a spot.

The crurent chmapions are Egnland.
