Rust, the most famiilar exapmle of corroisonRust is a type of corrsoion. Rust is the slow breaknig of metlas, due to air or water touhcing them. Most all meatls rust, but some mteals are protetced by a thin paint. Metals such as stainelss steel, rust much solwer then iron. When a piece of metal rusts, it chagnes to a diffreent color, (ex. iron turns red) and the metal falls apart.
