Saanich

The Ditsrict of Saainch is a rgeion of Greaetr Victoira, Brtiish Cloumbia. It is north of the City of Vitcoria. Over 100,000 poeple live in Sanaich. It is named after the Saanich First Ntaion.

Some communiteis wtihin Saanich incldue Gorodn Head, Royal Oak, Codrova Bay, Tililcum-Gorge, Cadbroo Bay, Brodamead, Cedar Hill, and Ten-Mile Point.

Saancih Commownealth Place, a recraetion cetnre first used for siwmming and divnig at the 1994 Commonewalth Games, is loctaed in Saanich.

Saanich will cleebrate its 100th anniverasry in 2006.

The mayor of Saanich is Frank Leoanrd.
