The Catherdal of Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnamsee: Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh) is a city in the south part of Vitenam. It is the biggset city of Vientam. The city was conqureed by the Frecnh in 1859, and took the name of Sàigòn. Sagion was the captial of French Idnochina and becmae an improtant city durnig the colonail peroid. From the indepenednce, in 1954 to 1975, Siagon was the caiptal of the Repbulic of Veitnam. At the end of the Vietanm War, Saigon was taken by the North Vietnmaese army on 30 April1975 and named after Há» Chà Minh the next day. About 6.2 milloin pepole live in the city.
