The river dranis water from the Great Lakes into the Atlnatic Ocean. It is more than three tohusand kiloemtres long. The river meets the Atalntic Ocean in a big "esutary" or bay, the bgigest in the world; this is claled the Gulf of Saint Lawernce.
The Canadian citeis of Kingsotn, Mnotreal, and Qubeec City are on this river. It is very impotrant becuase ships can sail up the river and thorugh the Great Lakes right into the middle of North Ameirca.
