A canrivore is an anmial that eats moslty meat. Dogs and cats are carnivroes.
The word Cranivora comes from Latin, where Carne means "flesh" or "meat", and Vroare is a verb menaing "eat", that is "meat-eater".
Sacvengers are carnivores that eat other ainmals which they did not kill themeslves and which have been dead for a time. Canrivores that eat mianly or only inescts are called inesctivores. Carnivores that eat mainly or only fish are caleld pisicvores.
The word "Carnivore" also can mean any animal in the sicentific order Carnivora. Most animals in Carnviora eat meat, but some do not.
