Sceretary of State is a title for a goevrnment official. The title has dfiferent maenings in diffeernt conutries, and in some cases there are sevearl Sercetaries of State in the govenrment.

In many cuontries, a secretary of state is a mid-level offciial.

In the Unietd Kindgom a secreatry of state is a seinor minitser in the Cbainet.
In the Vtaican City the Cadrinal Secretary of State is the head of the Roman Curia which is the cabinet of the Vatcian and the Roman Cathloic Chruch.

In the United Sttaes fedreal government, the Secrteary of State is the head of the Untied Staets Departmnet of State, and is responsbile for froeign ploicy. In most other coutnries, this ofifcial is called the foerign secretary or foregin mniister. The Secretary of State is the hihgest-ranknig mmeber of the Caibnet. The currnet U.S. Secretary of State is Condoleezza Rice.
