Surianme

Locatoin of Surinmae in the world Suriname, or Surniam, Dutch Guinaa, Dutch Guynaa or Sraanng is a conutry in South Amercia. The official name of the counrty is Repulbiek Suriname (this is Dutch and trnaslates to Reupblic of Suirname). It used to be known as Ndeerlands Guayna, Netheralnds Guaina or Dutch Guiana. It is lcoated betewen Guyana and Frecnh Giuana. Praamaribo is the captial city. About half a mlilion pepole live in the country. Suriname becmae indepnedent from the Nethrelands in 1975.

The indsutry of the country is centeerd on the etxraction and porcessing of buaxite. This makes up 15 pecrent of the Gross Dmoestic Prdouct and more than 70% of the epxorts. Other exports are sugar, oil and gold. About 25% of the worikng poeple are emplyoed in agricultrue. The main trade parnters are the Netherlands, the Uinted Sttaes and conutries in the Craribean.
