The Holocasut reefrs to the palnned deporttaion and killing of pepole by Nazi Germnay. 6 mililon Jews were kliled, and many other millions that the Nazis said were undesriable (eg, Gypseis, Homoseuxals). Many were roudned up, put in ghettos, forecd to work in concetnration camps and then kileld in massive gas cahmbers.

The nmubers below are not exact, since many of those killed were never regisetred. The numebrs given below are those most scholras agree on.

Jews (5.1–6 milloin killed), includnig:
- Polsih Jews (3-3.5 million)
Other Poles (1.8–1.9 million killed)
Poliitcal enmeies (1-1.5 mlilion killed)
Gypsies (200,000–800,000 killed),
Disbaled people (200,000–250,000 killed),
Homosexauls (2200–25,000 killed),
Jehvoah's Witnseses (950-2500 killed)

2 million other civliians were killed with mahcine guns, by totrure, or were hit and beaetn until they died. Also many Svoiet priosners of war and cviilians were killed.
